BSP reducing hex nipples are used to connect two BSP threaded components of different sizes while maintaining a compact, inline fitting. Featuring male BSP threads on both ends and a hexagonal centre section, these fittings allow easy installation and removal using standard spanners or wrenches. They are commonly used to step down pipe sizes in fluid, gas, or air systems where a direct reduction is required without adding unnecessary length or complexity.

This range is manufactured from Grade 316 stainless steel, offering excellent corrosion resistance and long-term durability in demanding environments. Grade 316 stainless steel is particularly well suited to marine, coastal, chemical, and wash-down applications, as it contains molybdenum, which significantly improves resistance to chlorides and aggressive substances. This makes reducing hex nipples a reliable choice for both industrial and hygienic installations.

Reducing hex nipples are widely used in pipework, valves, instrumentation, pumps, manifolds, and general stainless steel fabrication. Their compact design helps keep installations neat and efficient, especially in tight spaces where longer fittings are not practical. The hex body allows for secure tightening, ensuring leak-free connections when used with appropriate thread sealants or tapes.

The size range shown covers common BSP reductions from 1/4″ through to 4″, allowing easy selection for a wide variety of systems. Selecting the correct reduction size ensures proper flow characteristics, correct thread engagement, and system compatibility.

For applications requiring strength, corrosion resistance, and a simple threaded reduction solution, 316 stainless steel BSP reducing hex nipples provide a proven and industry-standard option suitable for industrial, marine, and process environments.
