Pipe sizes are designated by nominal bore (NB), with corresponding inch sizes, outside diameter (OD in millimetres), and wall thickness specified for common schedules including SCH10, SCH40, and SCH80. This allows accurate selection based on pressure requirements, mechanical loads, and system compatibility.
