Stainless steel 45 degree tube bends are designed to provide a gentle and controlled change in direction within tube runs. By introducing a more gradual offset than sharper bends, they help maintain smoother flow characteristics and reduce turbulence, making them suitable for both functional and aesthetic applications. These bends are commonly used in stainless steel fabrication, architectural projects, and process service lines where clean routing and a refined appearance are important.
This range of 45° tube bends is supplied in a satin finish and is available in both Grade 304 and Grade 316 stainless steel across a selection of common tube sizes. Grade 304 stainless steel is a popular general-purpose material, offering good corrosion resistance and strength for indoor installations and most outdoor environments. Grade 316 stainless steel contains molybdenum, which provides enhanced resistance to chlorides and aggressive conditions, making it ideal for wash-down areas, coastal and marine installations, and chemical processing environments. The satin finish delivers a smooth, uniform surface that is easy to clean and visually consistent with other stainless steel components.
Standard 45° bends are supplied with a 1.6mm wall thickness, providing a good balance between strength and ease of fabrication. Availability varies by size and grade, with the table indicating which sizes are offered in 304 and/or 316 stainless steel. In addition to standard bends, a “Zero Tang” 45° bend is also available in Grade 304 for selected sizes. This option is particularly useful in fabrication work where minimal straight length at the ends of the bend is required.
Stainless steel 45 degree tube bends are widely used in food and beverage fabrication, handrail and balustrade systems, plant services, and custom stainless steel assemblies. For applications requiring smooth direction changes, corrosion resistance, and a consistent satin finish, these stainless tube bends provide a reliable and industry-standard solution.
